These products are reformulated for exterior UV stability, which prevents the yellowing and surface degradation that indoor epoxy systems develop when exposed to direct sunlight. The polyaspartic topcoat penetrates and seals the concrete against deicing chemical ingress, reduces freeze-thaw moisture cycling in the pore structure, and produces a surface that is significantly easier to clean than bare concrete.

The dustless grinding prep creates the surface profile required for mechanical adhesion on a driveway surface that has likely been exposed to oil, deicing chemicals, and weather cycling for years. Skipping that prep step is how driveway coatings peel within one season. Getting it right is how a coating holds for years.

Case Study - St. Cloud, MN: A St. Cloud homeowner came to us after a driveway sealer they had applied twice in three years kept lifting in the vehicle path. The sealer had been applied over a contaminated surface without any profile preparation, so it had never properly bonded. Pool Deck Coatings

The prep process on a pool deck accounts for the salt and chemical contamination that pool decks accumulate over time. A surface that looks clean visually often has chemical residue embedded in the pore structure that will prevent coating adhesion if not removed through proper mechanical grinding.

Cracked, spalled, or heaved exterior concrete does not always require full replacement. The property manager had been quoted a full replacement at a cost that was not in the current budget. We have used this company three times successfully: garage floor epoxy, outside siding and trim painting, and repainting the metal handrail on our deck.  The first two were a year ago and are holding up well.  The handrail is recent and looks great so far, with rust spots seemingly addressed.

Zach's crew, some of whom I know by name now, is hard working. They listen to your concerns and find ways to address them.  I find that Zach (the chief) is reasonably accommodating instead of trying to nickel and dime the project. His quotes are not the cheapest, but they are reasonable for the outcome and the experience we get as customers.  I'll share one story -- while painting one of the exterior south facing walls, the paint dried in a non-uniform way.  Zach alerted us to this issue before we had a chance to inspect it and preempted fixing it by returning a couple of days back.

It is difficult to get on their calendar, so reach out early. For outside jobs, the weather is a wildcard and Zach is pretty good about communicating what his intentions are as far as trying to get out there on dry days, so you can plan your day/week.
